injections completed

The Thursday process at the surgicenter was a little longer as the doctor showed up late, and had to confirm insurance covereage for the change in treatment before he would start. As the orders were showing the epidural and I didn't sign the consent until he had the right procedure written down or faxed from office...... Once the doctor arrived and made a phone call all was cleared and away we went. And yes, 4 injections on either side of my neck had some twinges of pain/burning as it occured which was expected and I was stiff and sore afterwards with ice being my friend all night and I could once again take advil for the throbbing headache. Which after 3 months of them, this was a doozy. This morning, headache is much better, and stiffness is also.

At this point, verdict isn't in as to success or not but will see how next week goes. I tend to be optimistically cynical at this point~ thats probably a new usuage for those two words, but oh well.

It has long been diabetic "good news" so far for me for 28 years, , eyes are good, heart, kidneys, wounds heal nicely, all organs functioning terrific. But there have just been things along the way in the last 10 years that have made for annoyances of carpal tunnel both hands, torn rotator cuff that shoulder fell out of socket, compartmentization (poor circulation in both legs) and now the ankle dilemna, trigger finger in left hand needing two PAINFUL steriod shots to keep hand open (to avoid surgery), and the herniated discs in back ... Most all these where surgeries undertaken to clear these up because all other forms of treatment don't work that has just been ANNOYING ANNOYING ANNOYING. ENOUGH ALREADY is what I find myself thinking some days as my schedule is filled with dr appts, treatments... and continuing to work around the schedules. You buck up under it, and I'm thankful for resolution of them as they come up, but..... UGH. And than I will read the Buccowish blog of there struggles with the cancer treatment of Susan and how there lives have once again been turned upside down and yet he just exudes confidence in the Lord and how it has been tough but they have drawn closer to God and to each other... and I'm blesses and encouraged by there display of faith. That's the faith that I so desire to exude as well and God is good to have blessed me to have the highest quality of trained medical advisers.
Off to work so that I have insurance!
