Well after much phone calling this week to keep my file on the top of inbox for letter.. this is the status; Natalie Ray the Dr's assistant relayed to me by phone Friday.. The letter has been dictated, drafted, proofread and is currently on the desk as of yesterday Thursday of the Dr.'s insurance rep Debra Kaufman (who took Thur/Fri off this week) and so Monday she will be faxing it to Aetna insurance Transplant dept and the rough guess is that it will take a week and a response will be rendered. So please pray this process through now fervently as we know Monday Nov3rd it moves along via fax to the "powers that be" that the decision would be favorable for the surgery required as is laid out in the initial plan. thanks again..
In my investigative work here is a praise report: The company "carticel care" in Addison TX who has possesion of and will culture my cartilage cells at a cost of approx $30,000 is a *provider in-network* of Aetna insurance, which means that upon approval will be covered 100% by insurance for my situation in 2008. PTL
