patience is not my virtue!

Monday the insurance rep (Debra) says that the letter from the doctor was missing a couple of crucial details, and he was in surgery all day, but that he's good about returning messages. She had hoped that Tuesday she would have the corrected letter faxed onward. So Tuesday I did nothing...... On Wednesday I called and left another voice messages in the doctor office insurance world.. and so today I frustratingly left one for the rep handling my case in the doctors office and one for her supervisor (Tammy) as to "why" is it taking so long to receive an answer as to the status from Debra.

I have a friend Virginia who works in a local doctors office and she has been doing some of the investigative work with the Aetna side of it, and she called today and NOTHING is what they know of me not having received any fax.. so that is when I called the supervisor Tammy..

Tonight just 10 minutes before closing time, I called the supervisor again, and got a hold of her. She apologized (yawn!) about her not responding today, she had computer problems and that put her behind... (yawn again!) She had just spoken with my case rep today who mentioned NOTHING about the delay in my case... and she knew had already left for the day. And she doesn't work Fridays..
WHAT? UGH.. So Tammy gave me her word that she was drafting an email as we spoke to Debra as to what was the status, is there anything that Tammy can do to speed it along, who needs to be contacted to resolve the delay.... and that she would call me Friday with an answer. So I asked is she going to answer her email on her day off, and she said yes, she's very good about keeping in touch with me... (JUST NOT ME-apparantly)

So If they thought I was a wilting flower and would just wait this beauracracy of red tape out with a patient smile - they now know that is a false belief, and I will call them everyday. Time is money on this if it drags over into 2009 with nothing started.

I'm frazzled but glad I made the last phone call today.
